About:
This book is a story of self-identification that arose over the dramatic experience of the death of a loved one. I wanted to capture and record those experiences through visual images emerging as the experience itself unfolded, as well as my reflections on belonging and dependence in the context of becoming an individual. The story is based on my relationship with my aunt Zina, who was a photographer herself, and the period when Zina was ill with cancer – I documented the reality around myself and Zina in an attempt to realise the fullness of events.
